Hey guys, Just bought a red 1986 300ZX turbo auto. Interior and Exterior are perfect except the paint is a bit faded. Only 2 things need to be fixed: Exhaust Manifold (sounds like a very loud lawnmower that is louder than the engine itself) and an electrical issue preventing power coming to the radio, A/C, and dome accessories (possibly some melted wires somewhere?)

Once I get the manifold fixed I wanna go cruising as much as possible!! but right now its kinda embarrassing with the lawnmower noise.

I live in the Provo/Orem area.

I want to avoid taking it to the shop to get the electrical fixed so any tips or links to resolve this issue would be awesome. also when you turn the key to the on position without turning the car all the way on, there is a clicking noise under the steering wheel, sounds exactly like the ticking of a second hand on a clock.

The exhaust manifold is something ill let the professionals handle, it seems a little out of my league.

Im excited to have a Z again, and want to join the Z club soon to go on their cruises.

you can find a downloadable factory sevice manual here.

it should have the wiring diagrams you need.

mine has that same tick every once in a while. mine has a little fan with a temp sensor in it for the climate control. if that is it you can put a little grease on the ends of the fan to stop it if it anoys you. start with the fuzes on the electrical if you haven't already and go from there
