Drove by a bright orange 240Z in American Fork today. Took a couple of pics on the phone (just can't get them off of it). Talked to the owner. His name is Eric, and evidently he has another one in his driveway that has a pretty rusted body. I told him about the website and about the Frank Edwards show later this month. Hopefully, we'll see him on here.

If it was anyone from the club, he'd get a wave and thumb up. Oh well. Some 350Z owners are dicks like that.

It's usually the 350 owners that don't know the Z heritage. They don't realize that they are looking at the car that started it all! :D

It's got the original motor in it still. He said he bought it for $800 not running. He wen't to the parts store, bought a carb rebuild kit, redid the carbs and it runs great!

Did you ever ride in a "brand new" Datsun 240Z? I have and owned 2 280's; you have a problem with Z33 owners, then come and see me son. You probably don't have a clue about the Z33 do you? Happy Mother's Day mate! Randy:wink:

Quite to the contrary. I don't have a problem with Z33 owners. I was going off of what the gentleman that I talked to that had the 240. He told me that he likes to try chasing down 350's in his 240 and the response he will usually get, is like that of total ignorance and not realizing that the car chasing them down, is the one that started the whole Z enthusiasm. That's not to say that all are like that at all, just some. Sorry if I was misunderstood.

It just sounded like a stereotype or something- don't mean to be personal, just standing up for my rights. Take care, Randy

For sure. I've gotten that weird WTF do you want look after waving or giving a thumb up to someone before. Oh well. They'll get theirs when they get smoked by a Z owner that respects and appreciates the Z. Nobody was saying that you're like that, but unfortunately they're out there...
