Any member who posts comments on any spam will be demoted!!! It's bad enough we are getting it, no comments need to be made as we are handling these situations as quickly as possible and are working on a solution to the spammers.

I do appologize to any members that did happen to see the last round, we hope you are not offended and realize we are doing our best on the new format to eliminate all spam altogether so this site will remain work and family safe for our users and members

yeah... i was pretty ****ed, but there was like and explosion of spam in like 1 minute. i was reading stuff on the site, answer the phone, refresh the page, and BAM! tons of that crap!

i have seen it on many sites. i think the bots do it automatically. its a pain. just read the thread title before you open it and if you are unsure, wait til you get home

I would have liked to see the freak out/tornado of papers/ripped out of the wall phone/screen cover up

The Spam problem is now controlled. I've gone through and manually checked the members. Anyone who had a sig that was offensive/spam was banned. We should be good to go from here on out.

There are about 5 members who have not posted, do not posses an out of country ip, or have a sig. We'll have to wait on those people.

Just an update on this... looks like we still have spammers signing up (like "looNoudgeNear (http://zclubofutah.com/forum/member.php?u=278)"), just not posting. Do we have the " reCAPTCHA™ " turned on in the Human Verification Library section of the control panel? I use this on ZDriver & have hardly any spammers sign up. Those who slip through the cracks (because they are real people) are subjected to post monitoring for the first 10-20 posts which will moderate (not approve) any post w/ html, or certain keywords.

They can sign up and even make a first post, but the first post, and this is for everyone, will need to be approved.

^Yup. Also, computer generated sign ups are no longer allowed. Using a timer on how long it takes to sign up. If less than 5 seconds, the person is deemed a computer banned immediately. (Some are going as fast as .2seconds. ack)
