theft reasons. if someone is trying to steal the car, they would have to turn it on in order to get the fuel. most people would not know.

I was actually gonna post up a thing about this too.
I'm curious if anyone has anymore info on it, like ken... (i.e. Could this hurt the car in any way, cause electrical problems, etc)
I am pretty interested in this mod, so other feed back would be awesome

i think that i would be a pain in the @$$ IMO to have to switch it on and off everytime you drive it. but for theft reasons that would be nice.

Well my car is garage kept, so I wouldn't turn it off at home, but any time I went somewhere where it may be a target, it would be nice

I actually did this mod to my car about 6 months back. At the time i was doing alot of engine work and would have to dig into the lower dash to access the fuel pump relay anytime i wanted to do compression checks and whatnot. I finally searched and found the thread and did the mod... it's so much easier now that i don't have all the extra work of removing panels. I also found that with my car sitting in the garage all winter that i can have the fuel pump switch off and then crank my car for about 15 secs or until i see a slight rise on my oil pressure gauge.... then i will pull the key out, flip the switch, allow the fuel pump to prime and then start the car up. I heard that allowing the oil pressure to build up a bit before actually starting the car after it has sat for a while helps preserve your engine life...or i could be totally wrong... Anyway.... for those who decide to put the work in, it can be handy.

Some tracks require you to have one if you're running under a certain time. It was either 12 or 10 and under.
