funny thing small world :D
ok i will tell the story the best i can. its a wonderful sunny day in utah its our first Z meet ever. we drove down to slc and meet up with the Z club at Liberty. As we're talking and meeting all these sweet cars, and the owners  All of a sudden...otta nowhere....this soooo sooooo sooooooo sweeeeet sunset lemans track model rolls in and parks next to us  So, SWEETSZ immeadiately falls in love with TRACKZ  Ok we're talkin bout the carz here  And we met James who most of you would know as toplez  Ok now back to the wonderful day....so....we take off, and somehow...Leigh(shift)& Tara little whos the leader game got 1/2 of the group momentarally lost, but hey they took us to the SLC Int. Airport termimals :lol:Ok so we get back on track and catch the rest of the group a couple miles before the exit, we all get out there ok, have probably the 2nd largest ZCOU photoshoot eva and decide to check out the other side of the mountain....keep in mind, its getting dark, and the ranger is driving around...closing the gates(closes at dark)well, we get clear back in and the ranger told our fearless leader to turn around and get off the island...so, we do...and now we're not in our same line-up, the leader was near the end of the row....so he is fearless you know  Well, he passes about 15 cars, and then us...and here comes another car, only this is a Z31....you guessed it, amreboot and he's trying to follow Robert.....and Robert is passing an Altima, around a corner...now keep in mind, the ranger is closing the gates accross the roads....the in direction, we were outbound, they were passing an altima, and its almost dark...Robert all of a sudden, hits the brakes, downshifts, pitches car sooooo sideway and manouvers between the altima and the closed gate :!: By this time, amreboot is right next to us....on the inbound lane, doin oh, bout 80 at least and guess what :?: Ah hugh, there was noplace for him to go, besides straight thru :!: Bam!!! that gate went zingin over yonder...ok keep in mind, this gate closes the road...it's big 12'tall by say ohhhh 18' wide, and it landed like 40 yard into the field  Sparks are flying, tires screeching, and a cloud of dust as he comes to a stop, we, managed to stop ohhh bout 25' before he did  Chris and I jump out, run ova, check them out...they're ok  And the car isn't bleeding  So we are like get the phuck out :!: :!: :!: Go now :!: :!: :!: And so we made one last very brief to say the least...regroup stop and flew otta there like like a bat otta hell, ok so like a chitload of bats otta hell    We knew they could shut the last gate and prevent any of us from leaving the island if the ranger got to the fence and or the altima before we were gone.
Now the rest of the story....Robert...please, continue with the club support part :?

to tell you truth, I dont remember much from that time, lol! ;) but needless to say, thats my garage in those pics.. a few of us offered to help him restore it back to as close to normal as possible. He brings it over, we take the hood fender nad bumper off and start "trying" to sand it away. After a few hours with little work done (he didnt really do much) he decided to go home leaving all those parts in my garage. Ironically, I had a hood from another Z (came from another Z member, forgot who though) and it fit his Z, well for the most part, I think it was a year or 2 off. He then comes back over, picks up his unfinished parts. Then he goes up to Chris n Kens buddy's shop to get it the rest fixed. We all got together and collected money to "donate" to him to help get it fixed since he WHINED about not having any money and he JUST COULD NOT LIVE WITH HIS Z IN THAT CONDITION..   The tad came to a LOT more then what was donated, I think a few other peeps in the club picked up most of the rest of the repair tab for him and then HE VANISHED into thin air...
Angela was just "finding friends on Facebook" with her hotmail email contacts and what do ya know, there he is! HAHA!
(please correct anything after he leaves my house lol)

I think the hood was Dagold's old one. My friend that was with me that day had a video camera. He got our Chevron stop, us pulling into Liberty Park, some of the drive there (including our lap at the airport  ), some stops on the island, and the part on our way out where I was going over 90 and was gonna try to pass some people and almost hit that damn fence myself!!!

I'm hoping to have my video camera out for a lot of the cruises. I've got friends that are interested in riding shotgun for some cruises, so they might be my vid guys, and I've also though about buying a camera mount for my car

Absolutely. I've seen them. 8-) Just thought it would be good to have more than one person behind a video camera.

Well, all I have right now is the camcorder on my cell phone.
I would eventually like to get a real one though. Ok, and a passenger too. Driving and filming might be a little dangerous.
