After using some extra material I have, I came up with this.

My first camera mount i used 1/4" aluminum flat bar, very hard to bend and heavy. Plus it was L shaped and used only one suction cup.

The bad thing with plexiglass is that it's tough to drill without breaking.

The ideal material would be 1/8" aluminum flat bar. The frame can be made to any dimension and you can have the camera sit on top or below the crossbar.

The suction cups are Harbor freight specials only $2 each.

Looks good. Will the plexiglass swing when you put a camera on it or do the bolts keep it tight enough?

You can use lock washers if it's too loose, but when I tighten it down, the only movement is to the suction cups themselves, but they still hold fast.

The plexiglass isn't very good material to work with. Without the correct drill bit it will break too easy while trying to drill for the mounting holes.

Just an update. Except for one suction cup, my camera mount worked well. If you try this at home, buy about 6 of these suction cups, test each one and find two that hold suction before modifying it.
