hi everyone. i am new to the site but i have come with Andy to a couple events.
I don't currently own a z but i am working on it. I know I know you must get that a lot, but i am a true enthusiast and i want your advice before i buy the right z.

I am extremely interested in this one on KSL but the only problem is it's an automatic.

I wanted to ask Ken:
-How hard it would be to do a tranny swap?
-About how much in labor would i be looking at if i had you do it?
-If it had a standard trans put in it would it still be reliable?

Thank you for your input i hope to have a Z in the driveway soon :D :D :D :D :D

Welcome Dan!! If you don't have a Z yet, it's all good. You're in the right place if you're into Z cars. A tranny swap would be possible, but if it were me, I would keep looking and get one with a manual. If that's what you really want anyways, it would be alot easier and less expensive. Not sure if that car is an '86. I thought '85 was the last year that they had the turbo hood scoop.

Welcome! That car is most likely a '86 with the 5-lug hubs. '85 was the last year of the 4-lug I believe.
