2005 350z VS 1990 300zx(NEED ADVICE)!!

Hey guys,

Need some help! Currently have a 90 Nissan 300ZX TT but I'm looking to buy a newer car. I have a couple other reason why I'm thinking of switchin. If i bought this 350z I would buy the HKS supercharger for it. But as of now Its a good deal for this 350 and I might just keep my 300zx BUT I NEED to know between the two whos thinks what one is a better car

i would look around. There are a lot on ksl that are lower in price and miles. i know of one that is asking the same price, but has around 17K miles on it

your right but between the 300zx and the 350z what do you guys think. What one is a better choice is all around performance and handling

i have both. the feel is different on each. i do think that yo u can get more hp with less money on the z32 than the z33, but the z33 seems to be easier to work on. pros and cons to both

A stock Z32TT has more horsepower than a Z33, plus you have boost :twisted:
A little bit of money, and you can increase that margin pretty significantly

unless you have an absurd amount of money i dont recomend a TTZ32. they are a money pit and you CAN expect it to bend you over. sure you can get more power cheaper but thats your first few mods. after you get to that stage the car will pown you. if you decide on a z32 irecomend start NA and learn about the car first. its cheaper to maintain. you can expect a tt to give you some sort of problem on a weekly or monthly basis.

Just checked, at it looks like the HRs put out 306 Horsepower, where as the Z32TT puts out 300 HP. Adding a $100 Pop Charger Intake would (arguably) put that output about even.

He's checking out an '05 though, so for the sake of his question, the TT is gonna get him more ponies :)

I currently have a z32 TT but I'm worried of the year and the condition that the previous owner took care of it. Haven't had any problems yet but I don't want any thats why I'm looking at the Z33's and yes all the Z33's maybe even a 370z but there's not that many upgrades for it because it's new. If i bought a z33 I would either do a JWT Twin turbo upgrade or look at doing a supercharger

i would do a TT on the z33 if you want power. I have a SC and its good, but i would like the TT

If you put a TT kit on a Z33 your looking at more potential problems then a TT Z32, since the Z32 was built to handle boost and the Z33's are not. Just my opinion but I'd stick with the Z32 and keep up on scheduled maintenence and you should be fine.
